Comprehensive design review of a primary filtration system for a wastewater treatment facility.
With prime consultant Kennedy/Jenks, the County of Kauai developed a primary filtration system for the Wailua Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to improve primary treatment performance while reducing process footprint requirements.
Caliskaner Water Technologies, Inc. (CWT) provided technical advisory and design review services to the prime consultant throughout the development of the primary filtration system. The review focused on treatment performance, integration with existing facility processes, hydraulic considerations, operational and maintenance (O&M) requirements, and system reliability. CWT's technical support helped the project team deliver an efficient and reliable primary filtration system tailored to the operational needs of the Wailua WWTP.
