CWT attended the California Energy Commission's 11th annual Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC) Symposium in Sacramento, California. The event highlighted innovations funded through more than $130 million in annual investments that benefit California electric ratepayers. CWT presented its technology evaluation project involving three innovative biosolids management systems for wastewater treatment: Suspended Air Flotation by Heron Innovators, Inc.; Ultra-Super Critical Water Oxidation by Beyond The Dome, Inc.; and Biosolids Filtration Thickener by Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. These emerging technologies, which were preparing for commissioning at CWT's demonstration plant, aim to reduce energy use, spatial footprint, and greenhouse gas emissions at water resource recovery facilities. CWT is proud to support the industry's transition toward cleaner and more efficient resource recovery systems.
