Role Overview
As a Laboratory Technician, you will support our wastewater sampling and testing efforts by performing analyses that are crucial to meeting project objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare reagents, calibrate instruments, and maintain an organized laboratory workspace
- Perform routine wastewater analyses (e.g., BOD, COD, pH, TSS/VSS, nutrients, and related parameters)
- Coordinate off-site analytical testing with third-party laboratories
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and resolving data or testing anomalies
- Record, validate, and interpret data in accordance with APHA, EPA, and ISO standard methods
- Document procedures and QA/QC activities, and support the preparation of technical reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in civil and environmental engineering, environmental science, chemical engineering, chemistry, biology, or a related field
- Familiarity with lab safety protocols and water quality testing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team
